Ode to the Perfect - 7 Ways to Get Over Perfectionism

She's prim and proper
So righteous and meek.
She won't make a move
'Til it's done to a T.
She shuffles her papers.
She scrolls through her screens.
Checking her facebook and
Liking those memes.
The time keeps on ticking.
The day turns to night.
Another one past,
But it's still "just not right."
Oh, talented one,
Just lead with your heart.
When will you learn
It's okay just to start?

7 Ways to Get Over Perfectionism

Embrace Failure.

Go and publicly announce to everyone, friends, family and colleagues, that you're about to take a leap and there is a very high chance that you'll mess things up. That way, when you do, you can still be right and say, "I told you so!"It's mind trickery for yourself. It lets you feel more in control.

Give Yourself Grace.

You're a human being, and stuff happens. When did you learn that you had to get it right the first time? When you were a baby learning to walk, I'm sure you didn't have to walk on your first try. Why is it that...

Stop Social Media Anxiety: 7 Tips to Thrive - Not Hide Online

Before I started marketing my personal brand - that is my face, image and likeness on social media - I was scared as heck!

You better betchya that I used logos and stock photos cause I was scared about putting myself out there when I just got started.

Why in the world would I want my high school bullies to still be in touch with me - LOL?

That's the irony of social media. A medium designed to enrich our lives can also be a massive head and heartache.

Aside from having family and friends pondering your every move, dealing with all the flash and glamour can be overwhelming.

Do you ever scroll through social media and leave feeling icky?

Especially in regards to being more present for your business - ever feel like you're not doing enough?

You'll be outworked by the competition?

"My gosh their posts!! They're always more...

  • longer than yours
  • better designed than yours
  • with tons more likes and shares than yours."

I get it.

When you're growing your personal brand, and you start...

Get Clients Now vs Get Clients Later

Are you marketing to get clients now or later?

In my mastermind group, a client asked how she can enroll a prospect in the next 2 weeks or less.

I took a look at her current marketing strategy and realized that a lot of her current business activities included strategies that would take 3 - 6 months to see results.

She was shocked when I pointed this out because she needed cash fast!

Internet Marketing and advertising is a great way to generate a stream of clients on demand. I experience it in my own business and the business of those I coach, however, you need to ensure you have all the systems and business structures in place to make that happen.

If you don't have all the systems and processes you need, then you'll need to do some traditional forms of marketing and sales to enroll a client now.

If you want to know how to immediately ramp up your cash flow in the next couple weeks or even days, this is for you.

To get clients now, implement...

Quit the 9-5 Movement

I was always rebellious towards the traditional career. Just the thought of working for somebody and sitting at a desk from 9-5 gives me a bad feeling in my stomach. I actually feel like projectile vomiting. If you have this feeling too, it’s an indication that you have the entrepreneurial bug.

Watch the Story Behind the Quit the 9-5 Movement

It’s funny – I remember when I was 16 years old and I had a dream that I was working in a factory full of women. The setting reminded me of something from the industrial revolution in the 1800s. I was on an assembly line working miserably when all of a sudden I jumped up on the tables and started speaking and shouting to the women in the factory. I don’t remember what I was saying, but I do know that I was starting some sort of revolution.

This dream came to my recollection the morning I was getting ready to speak at my first Quit the 9-5 Event. It was one of those dreams that I always kept...
