My journey started a couple of years ago when I was sitting on the couch and I realized that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I was so out of shape and overweight I thought, "that's not really how I want to go through life cuz my kids are going to be getting married and I wanted to be able to participate in their wedding ceremony, dancing, that sort of thing.
So I decided to start eating healthy and the weight started coming off which gave me more energy and led to wanting to work out.
And all my friends started recognizing that I lost all this weight and I was working out and doing really well, so I started a Facebook group to post my recipes and secrets.
Before I started marketing my personal brand - that is my face, image and likeness on social media - I was scared as heck!
You better betchya that I used logos and stock photos cause I was scared about putting myself out there when I just got started.
Why in the world would I want my high school bullies to still be in touch with me - LOL?

Most coaches don't know how to talk about themselves.
They are so passive with their marketing because they're stuck thinking about how to communicate.
Sometimes they say nothing at all.
There is a lot of fear around annoying people or coming across "too salesy."
And if they are confident, they jump to speaking about how "this product will do wonders."
They use wishy-washy language that sounds nice, but isn't clear - it's confusing.
They talk about their products, their programs, but never really share WHO THEY ARE.
They brush it off like it's not important.
"I don't need a personal brand," they say.
"It's not about me," they say.
